Testimonials
"Dear Rick,
Thank you for the kindness you have shown by painting this beautiful portrait for our friends. In doing so, you have immortalized our friend for her family and for all to remember her. It is so incredibly detailed and life-like. It really looks like a photograph with brush strokes. The details and use of light are amazing. With your hand and your eye, you bring your subjects to life. Your work appears like a still shot from a movie. |
As I admire the portrait, I expect her to move and to hear her speak—it is so true-to-life. It is as if she is shining. You captured her essence—a brilliant moment in time! It is extraordinary people like you who make this world a better place. What a phenomenal and talented human being you are! THANK YOU and all the best to you!"

"Vanessa"
"After seeing the potrait Rick did of his son with their dog, "Eric and Sonny", at his studio, I told Rick I wanted a portrait of my daughter, Vanessa, with her dog, Gracie.
What Rick came up with greatly exceeded my expectations ! The likeness of both of them is amazing, and Rick gives so much attention to the smallest of details. I appreciated him asking me for input on things that would personalize this painting, like what book Vanessa may have recently read.
I had asked him to make this an outdoor scene, and Rick took some specific ideas I mentioned about the landscape in back of Vanessa's apartment building, and he used that along with adding his own unique style.
Thanks for doing such a wonderful job, Rick. " ~B. Sandberg

"Time Well Spent" Workshop

Children's Workshop
"Mr. Clubb is a soft spoken, talented Christian artist who loves his work. Mr. Clubb shared with the children that because of his faith in Jesus Christ his life's perspective is one which is hopeful and optimistic. He expresses this perspective through his work by choosing each day to spend time on artistic pieces that clearly reflect the positive outlook developed by his faith. In addition, Mr. Clubb encouraged the TWS students to always draw and design using their own imaginations.
Our children learned a great deal about the power of images, the meaning that color can convey in art and the excitement that comes with using your imagination to create something new. Through sharing his personal experience and helping to simulate a "job experience," Mr. Clubb was able to allow the TWS students to feel for themselves what it is like to work as an artist today. It was both educational and very fun! Thank you Mr. Clubb!"
